Chlor alkali production in Europe in July 2020

 In July 2020, the local chlorine production in Europe was 796000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.6%. The average daily chlorine production in July 2020 is 25700 tons, which is 10.3% higher than that in June 2020 (the average daily chlorine production in June 2020 is 23300 tons); it is 2.65% lower than that in July 2019, and the average daily production in July 2019 is 26400 tons. From January to July 2020, the total chlorine production in Europe will be 5.3387 million tons; from January to July in 2019, the total chlorine production in Europe will be 5.5752 million tons, with a cumulative decline of 4.2%.  

In July 2020, the local caustic soda inventory in Europe was 242000 tons, 1.7% higher than that in June 2020 (238000 tons in June 2020), 10.5% higher than that in July 2019, and 219000 tons in July 2019.  
In July 2020, the average utilization rate of chlor alkali plants in Europe was 80.9%, which was higher than that of 73.4% in June. Compared with the same period in 2019, the average utilization rate of the unit is 84% in July 2019.
